Rooftop PV system on a new building in Mértola
In Mértola, our team in Portugal delivered a rooftop PV system with a capacity of 136.17 kWp on the roof of a new building – and did so while the building was still under construction. On a roof area of 1,671 m², 306 modules across 709 m² of PV area generate clean electricity.
Challenge
As the shell of the building was not yet complete, the installation and material deliveries had to be precisely coordinated with the workflows of other trades. Space on site was limited, with several trucks carrying construction material present at the same time. In addition, some technical details were only finalised during the PV installation.
Solution
Clever advance planning for deliveries and material transport onto the roof, together with constant coordination between the on-site team and our designers in the office, made it possible to adjust the layout plans in real time. This allowed the system to be installed smoothly and fully integrated into the ongoing construction process.
