1 MWp rooftop system for fresh-food logistics in Emstek
In Emstek, we delivered a photovoltaic system on a logistics hall for a leading fruit importer with refrigerated storage logistics – with around 2,250 modules and a capacity of 1 MWp. Only five months passed from planning to commissioning.
Challenge
As a fruit-trading company with temperature-sensitive storage, the customer has a consistently high electricity demand – above all for running the cold store. The system had to be built during ongoing cold-store and logistics operations, without interrupting them, and designed for a high self-consumption rate.
Solution
We designed the system precisely for high self-consumption in cold-store operations and implemented it smoothly during ongoing operations – with close interface management between the client, the grid operator and the Centroplan team. We used our ballast-free Ceniq 2 mounting system, which is particularly suited to low roof-load reserves and high wind loads. The result is a durable, low-maintenance system that covers a large part of the energy demand straight from its own roof.
