Combined rooftop system and PV canopy in Reims
In Reims, our colleagues at Centroplan France delivered a particularly versatile project: a combination of a rooftop system and a PV canopy with a total capacity of 220 kWp. 500 modules – 374 on the roof and 126 on the canopy – generate clean electricity across a total of 998 m².
Challenge
The bespoke timber structure of the canopy was tailored precisely to the customer's wishes. Despite the architectural complexity, the task was to create aesthetically pleasing cable runs, integrate an emergency stop switch at a height of three metres, and meet the requirements of the client, fire service and insurer in equal measure.
Solution
Using the SSM1 mounting system for the roof integration and a specially developed timber structure, a stylish and technically demanding system was created that generates sustainable energy while also impressing architecturally.
